This Sunday (July 7) is World Chocolate Day - a day where you have an excuse to indulge in your favourite chocolate.
So go ahead - enjoy a huge slab of chocolate cake, a brownie, or a box of flavoured truffles.
According to Wikipedia, fermented beverages made from chocolate date back to 450BC.
The Aztec believed that cacao seeds were the gift of Quetzalcoatl, the God of Wisdom and the seeds had so much value they were used as a form of currency.
It was originally prepared as a drink and was believed to be an aphrodisiac and to give the drinker strength.
Some scientists now say that eating dark chocolate every day is better for you than eating vegetables.
That's me sold....
